Content of the Yoga Lessons

As yoga practice is essentially internally reflective, teaching others is of crucial importance in advancing ones own yoga practice. In a teaching situation, a teacher is forced to think of many different solutions, and so ones own yoga practice gains from expanded thinking and there is less likelihood of being stuck in old patterns. Students will teach each other under the guidance and correction of the course trainer.

  • Learning by doing: 
    The self-practise of yoga, is the cornerstone of the training. During the lessons, insight will be acquired in a direct and active way in the technique of asana practice. By perfecting the technique, superfluous physical tension disappears and the body becomes fitter and more energetic. During yoga practice, no distinction should be made between the physical and the mental. The body is awareness, and this explains the strong effect of the Iyengar approach regarding relaxation. By means of this energetic style of practice, circulation improves and the body becomes stronger and healthier.
  • Yoga teaching: 
    By helping others, the student’s own limitations will be surpassed.
